The photograph is part of a series of portraits taken in the rush hour at Shibuya where commuters travel after work over a pedestrian crossover bridge to reach the station. The images show people of varying ages in their inner worlds, no signs of reactions to their environment including me the photographer at a close distant.

This series in transit (Tokyo) is part of a larger photographic project in spring 2010 ‘reading urban landscape’ funded by a Sasakawa Foundation scholarship and ongoing work of tracing dynamics of urban environments in photographs.
